Palantir describes its business as licensing software that enables customers to analyze their own information. It says it does not sell personal data or provide data mining as a service, and that customers legally own their data. These are company disclosures, not an independent audit of every data flow. They do not establish the contents of Hertz's negotiated contract or a Hertz-to-Google advertising agreement.
